Where does the money we raise go?We are dedicated to funding vital medical and health research projects.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Foundation aims to gift the money it raises to research projects with the strongest scientific merit and potential. It acts under the guidance of its Research Advisory Committee (RAC), which is a committee made up 9 respected researchers representing South Australian Research Institutes, Research Hospitals and Universities. Applications for TQEHRF funding are made to the RAC, which assesses each application on scientific merit, potential and track record of the investigators, and then delegates funds to the strongest research projects.
- Over the last six years, the Foundation has gifted $6.3 million to research projects at the Basil Hetzel Institute.
- This year, $900,000 will be allocated.
You can rest assured knowing your money will be spent in the best way possible - to fund vital and important medical research which is changing the face of medical treatments in the state.
