Research Advisory CommitteeThe Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Foundation aims to gift the money it raises to research projects with the strongest scientific merit and potential. It acts under the guidance of its Research Advisory Committee (RAC), which is a committee made up 9 respected researchers representing South Australian Research Institutes, Research Hospitals and Universities.
Applications for TQEHRF funding are made to the RAC, which assesses each application on scientific merit, potential and track record of the investigators, and then delegates funds to the strongest research projects. To download application details please choose one of the following:
The RAC procedure is based on the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) application and assessment process. The NHMRC is Australia's peak body for supporting health and medical research; for developing health advice for the Australian community, health professionals and governments; and for providing advice on ethical behaviour in health care and in the conduct of health and medical research. The TQEHRF RAC uses this process as the guide for funding research projects conducted at TQEH. This strategy allows TQEHRF to fund research projects of the highest standard, ultimately strategically enhancing the quality of research conducted at TQEH.
