'An Enchanting Dream, Under the Southern Stars’ 18 July 2009 - TQEHRF Annual Black Tie Dinner

TQEHRF 2009 Annual Black Tie Dinner was held on Saturday 18th July 2009 at the Hyatt, Adelaide. This year guests enjoyed an Australian theme titled ‘An Enchanting Dream, Under the Southern Stars’. The night was action packed from start to finish with exciting Australian music performed by supergroup Sonnet, the Superman of Entertainment Patrick McMahon and dance band Acoustic Juice. Funds were raised through a breathtaking $8,500 diamond raffle donated by Maria Kenda, Main Auction and a silent/wine auction. We were able to raise an impressive $60,000+ for cancer research at TQEH. We know these much needed funds will truly make a difference to the world renowned research being conducted by our researchers at TQEH.

Cancer Dinner Dance

Maria Giannoudis and the Women's Group of the Pierikos Society S.A. Inc. organised their Annual Cancer Dinner Dance on Saturday June 27 2009 at the Chian Association Hall, Rosewater SA. The night was full of music and excitment with a successful raffle and silent auction. Their efforts raised an astounding $8400 for Prostate Cancer Research at TQEH. We thank them for their continued support.

The Heart of Adelaide Ball

The inaugural Lord Mayor’s ‘Heart of Adelaide’ Ball was held on Friday the 28th of November at the Adelaide Town Hall. The Lord Mayor’s Ball was all about hearts – the community and businesses that make our CBD tick, joining forces to raise vital funds for heart research at TQEH...

URS Tour de Heart

The 2008 URS Tour de Heart was a tough journey from the highest point in Australia - Mt Kosciusko – to the lowest point - Lake Eyre, approximately 1,638km. The ride commenced in Thredbo Village on Saturday 21st June and finished in Roxby Downs on Thursday 3rd July 2008. Graham Manou was joined by mate Andrew Eime and fellow sporting and Adelaide celebrities along the way, who were up for the challenge...
