Work on New Research Building BeginsTHE future of research in South Australia has been guaranteed after the State Government reaffirmed its commitment to building a $25.7 million research facility. The building, opposite the current Basil Hetzel Institute in Woodville, will be double the size of the current building and will allow researchers access to up-to-date facilities and equipment previously never seen in South Australia.
The South Australian Medical Research Trust has launched a campaign to raise $3 million to provide the equipment our researchers need. With this building and equipment, South Australia will become a world-leader in medical research and we will be a step closer to finding cures and effective treatments for those debilitating illnesses like diabetes and cancer.
