Dressed for success

The Hyatt Regency came alive to the sounds of Berlin Cabaret at this year's annual SAMRT Black Tie Dinner. The sold-out Berlin Cabaret Spectacular was enjoyed by more than 350 members of Adelaide's corporate world and the general public.

The theme was based on a theatrical adventure in Berlin with a 21st century twist which proved to be great fun.

The event this year had a record number of sponsors, with the AMP Foundation and MBA Financial Strategists the naming rights sponsors. The auction was a huge success and the raffle prize - an all-expenses paid trip to Berlin - proved popular.

The total of $93,000 donated towards cancer research at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital was helped by a generous $10,000 donation from well-known Adelaide philanthropist Gordon Pickard. He wasn't at the dinner, but bumped into General Manager-Events Sandy a few days later and presented her with a cheque as his contribution.
